THE BLAME GAME
OBJECT: The object of the game is to avoid blame. The last player left holding the “BLAME CARD” is the loser (and gets the blame). Avoid being the LOSER by shifting the blame to other players and exit the game early before they leave you stuck with the “BLAME CARD”.
AGE: 8 and above.
NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 2-6 players.
STEPS:
- Remove the “BLAME CARD” from the deck.
- Shuffle the deck of cards and distribute evenly to every player. Set aside any extra cards.
- Identify the player who will play first and give him/her the “BLAME CARD”.
- The first player will start the game by picking a card from his/her assigned cards to play then follow the instructions/arrow on the card to determine who to give the “BLAME CARD” to. Read out loud what is on the card as you play it.
- When a player has played all of his/her cards he/she will bow out of the game and allow the other players to continue playing until only one player is left holding the “BLAME CARD”. That player will be determined to be the loser (and gets the blame).
COLORS AND SHAPES
OBJECT: There are four games you can play and hence there are four ways to win.
- SAME COLOR: Be the first player to collect five cards of the same color.
- DIFFERENT COLORS: Be the first player to collect five cards with different colors.
- SAME SHAPE: Be the first player to collect five cards with the same shape.
- DIFFERENT SHAPES: Be the first player to collect five cards with different shapes.
NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 2-5:
AGE: 8 & UP:
PLAY: Each player will get 5 cards from the deck. They will then exchange one card at a time until the first player collects 5cards with the appropriate shapes and/or colors (that is same color, different colors, same shape, or different shapes).
WILDCARDS: There are two wildcards. These cards can be designated by the player in possession of them to be any color and/or shape they so chose.
STEPS:
- First determine which game to play: Same color/Different colors/Same shapes/Different shapes
- Shuffle the deck of cards and distribute 5 cards to each player (facing down). Set extra cards aside. If you want to increase the level of challenge combine two decks of cards and add more players.
- Players look at their cards and pick one to exchange. Place the card to exchange on the table face down and pick a card from the UNPLAYED deck. When the unplayed deck is exhausted, shuffle the EXCHANGED card deck and continue to play by pulling cards from this deck.
- Keep doing this until a player is ready to declare themself as the winner and reveal their cards.
